I want to make a third blogpost entry before August ends.

Things have been busy lately mainly because I am venturing into something new

(nothing too new, but I still consider it new news).

Hopefully, I can post it here early this week, so stay tuned!

Now for my post,

My kids and I have spent a day last week taking pictures by the beach.

Mostly to update my header picture here because it is already over a year old.

But again, I am not ready to share so I am just leaving you with this...

And I also noticed that it is my 250th blog post,

so happy 2-5-0 to you (whoever is reading this)

and don't forget to check back this week

because who knows I might be ready to do the big reveal.

I have been playing and experimenting with lights lately

and trying to shoot on manual mode.

I have found a new way to use my hotshoe flash

and a camera feature that I did not even know exist.

I bought a softbox.

I have no other models so I shot a self-portrait while experimenting

aside from using Donkey Kong.

Here's what I got...

Not bad.

But I need more practice.
